Preserved Topic: FAQ icon - suggestions. (Page 1 of 1)

As discussed here, this is our new FAQ icon.

it can have some minor changes if you think, or any functional suggestions can be made (for example, i think it should have a mouseover! )

Here's the way i think it should work:

- suggest or post a change to the image (if michael is really kind he can post the psd....)
- any changes to the final design of the icon need a general consensus, and michael's approval.
- that's about it.

Excellent choice (well I voted for it so it must be )

I'd like to see some kind of rollover effect.

Like when you rollover it the middle finger is stuck out instead of the index finger....

I voted for that one too. But I can't say I like the faq font, it should be Caps too. Or maybe just change it to caps, the font does go well with the diner look the finger gives it.

Maybe a wee lefty righty animation of the finger. Or maybe have the finger taping the text... i dunno, just throwing thoughts in the air.

krets - yeah, i think we need a middle finger version too...

emps - yeah, that was the real selection criteria - i didn't actually do a vote count, i just checked to see who you voted for.

I thought it was nice touch leaving the voting open after I had voted therefore giving the illusion of democracy

the font is "artbrush"... which I spotted on synax's little halloween extravaganza thing...
he provided me with it shortly there after, upon request...

btw... the 'Wacoms and Tablets' faq is #20 on google for "wacoms". We should pool our resources to beef up that faq and push it to the top.

The psd is up there... the font is up there...
the hand is nothing more than a question mark in one of the webdings fonts...

Yup.

As we've seen, the lowercase can be too easily mis-read as well
