Ok, First, I want to reiterate that this was really hard. So much good work. It seems some of you have been paying attention and are here to learn, and that is encouraging.

Personal preference was not enough this time, as I could not pick only one that way, so I set up a point scale using each of the original rules with as close to objective values as possible. So I had to get really picky about
1) Filesize
2)Dimentions
3)Creativity
4)Quality.
5)*make em like you`re gonna use em*
6) NO RECYCLES
In the case of a tie, originality was the breaker.

So, kudos to all. Very impressive contest this month.

congrats moth, i personally like synax's the best but that was all a tough call, and by the way db u spelled synax.. like syanx, lil typo just thought id say something, if it wasnt intentional and u care to fix it or not.. gj all those who entered..

Wow! Thanks docilebob! I am greatly honored to have been chosen the winner of December's competition.

Mahjqa, the thing between the blade and the handle is a hand guard to protect your hand from the powder blast of the blackpowder pistol when fired and an opponent's blade if you needed to parry. The sig is based on a real weapon.

Now for the theme for January 2003. Jewelry! Gems or metalwork is fine.

Too many to choose from and at least 5 or 6 worthy of first place. I personally loved Lucid Iguana's Kung Fu weapon. Next time I'll go for a real weapon and not a picture maybe?

Anyway, always remember that we cannot see the future. We cannot change the past. We can only live in the now with an eye towards gaining enough power in the future to wreck revenge on everyone who ever screwed us in the past.
