Trick seems to be hitting a low angle so the penguin slides.

To bounce the vertical speed of the penguin must be < 17 when it hits the ground, so to throw the lil' fucker far you must hit him in a way that will give it a vertical speed the closest as possible to 17 at its first bounce. During my furthest shot, the penguin didn't came too close to top border during its flight.

The formula applied to make the bounces is :

if( yspeed < 17 )

{

    yspeed *= -0.5;

    xspeed *= 0.8;

    // ...

}

i just heard a report, about this game in the radio. They said that this game was made in Austria... the company had more than 2,8 millions of downloads a day. There are some "fakes" from other companies, but they can't get as great results as the original.
btw. the guy who had the idea said, that the best highscore you can get is: 323,5
