My big thing about your sig.... TOO BIG! about 1/4th of that size would work, if that. Look at my sig, even mine borderlines the criteria for too big. Green is ok... but.... I am just not used to seeing green on brown and orange so much. |

well thanks for your comments, yeah i know it doesnt really fit the scheme here, it was just somethin i was doin when i was bored, it orignally wasnt supposed to be a sig but i decided to make it one, sorry about makin the new thread i was havin trouble editing my other one, about using one filter after another, i only used 2 filters, water paper and the glowing edges, then i did the rest with overlays... |

hmm now that you mention it, the green black does clash just a little with red and orange... is this maybe a better color scheme for this site? |

That is much better. it would be even better if you changed the background in the original file to RGB(43, 04, 04), flattened it in PS, then in image-ready convert it to a standard layer, and using the marquee tool with concurrent turned off, tolerance at 0 and anti-aliased off, click on a section of background. |

the reason why i didnt do what you suggested, well i did at first, i set it as an optomized gif with transparent background and it was all set, but the outer glow didnt diffuse very smoothly when i used gif, so i thought, easy solution, save it as a png, that way 24-bit color, smooth fading and transparency and it would be fine, but my image host i used originally didnt allow png extensions, so i decided to add a border and fill with black so the matte wouldnt clash with the background on the forums, and i could then save it as a jpeg and keep the quality of the glow... |

Hi prez, I think your last two examples are better. I don't mind the green on a smaller sig (mayhap a different shade tho'), but on the first one it's "in your face 'n' ugly" |
