I feel like a bit of an imposter, posting here but,,, as the Wise One's say, "even a Tortoise has to stick his neck out, if he is to get where he wants to go." And I am surely that slow in my learning...
What is the name of those tiny "pictoral icons" that can be seen at the top of a page tab in a browser window, and in the address line? and also, is it possible for me to make my own for my homepages?
It's been a long while since I ventured to this part of the Asylum, I think I'll just sit down here for a bit, I'm feeling giddy after trying to phrase this question in Google eg "little pictures in browsers" "Those thingy mabobs ,,there "

Veneficuz and DL-44, I am delighted to tell you that I have now managed to wean myself from "The Dark Force" that is Frontpage, and I can now see what you told me was true ( the mess it makes). My new site has been made in Dreamweaver, I know this is still a long way from following the hand coding path that you suggest, but 'tis the best I can do atm.
My site is not yet a place I want to present for a constructive critque, I will look forward to that in the future, as I know I can learn a lot from you guys. But I am slowly starting to be able to get it nearer to how I envisualise it.

Now for that really special treat. The internationally renowned "Monkey Washing A Cat" inducement.
As my ISP (Blueyonder.co.uk) seems to have overlooked deleting my old web site that was part of an older account, I am going to use that space for storage. Is it possible for me to make my own 404 page or redirect page to automatically point or redirect visitors to my new site?

TBB: Yes but it would depend on what you have access to at the BY site - if you have Apache and can add an .htaccess file then that would be one route or you can have a page sying 'Site has moved' and then use a redirect meta tag to set an automatic redirect.
