Me and a couple of friends are making this page, we just got the domain on thursday. I'm starting to make the basic layout, which can currently be found at http://www.maninacan.com/index2.html , any constructive critisism would be greatly appreciated. BTW I know the logo is a bit weird, my friend made it and we're likley going to change it.

I don't know why it starred out **** in ****ster, very strange, the starred out part is k e w l. BTW the DNS for it just kicked in so it can now also be found at http://www.kewlster.com/index2.html

Everything is hard to read. The top title bar thing is actually impossible to read but I am geussing from what you have said in your post, that it says your URL.

You need more. I need some eye candy. Since there is no content there, can we have something with some coolgraphics to draw our attention?

The links really hurt my eyes with them being red against the black background.

Sorry that I don't really have any suggestions, I just think that you need some more stuff going on. The url at the top and the links are really hard to read. And I am going to guess that you are going to have some problems later on with that gradeiant on the background on your main content table.

Don't forget about your font-face specifications and your meta-tags.

Good job on making it liquid.

<edit>Oh and to let you know, the Asylum doesn't allow language like that. It is associated to hacking and bad stuff. It's got some bad ju-ju around it. That's why your url is being blocked. We just don't want the good Doc to get shut down or anything. Know what I mean?</edit>

The logo, I know it's bad I'm gonna change it, just haven't gotten around to it.
The links, I probably was in the middle of changing them or something, because now they're a pretty light red
The gradient, you where right, I just continued the Content goes here sentence down, and there were problems, not sure how I'm going to fix that
The Eye Candy, yes I need to put more up, it's still being developed so right now I'm working on a little guest book that slides out from the left side of the screen, and I'll be working on a few more small DHTML things as well. I'll try to get up some better graphics too.

ok, I changed the gradient so that it fades into the main background color. I'm not really sure if I like that or not, so hopefully someone will give me some good advice on it, and also does anyone know if you can submit a form to a new window?

whoa, yikes. I'm still in the proccess of putting in the guestbook, but yikes, it screwed everything up. I remember I had this same exact problem with my other site, now if only I could remember how I fixed it. Hmmmm...
