The poster has demanded we remove all his contributions, less he takes legal action.
We have done so.
Now Tyberius Prime expects him to start complaining that we removed his 'free speech' since this message will replace all of his posts, past and future.
Don't follow his example - seek real life help first.

InI: I'm just a little curious about the history (if you excuse the pun) of the site. Anyway I'll drop in a quick review (although I'm sure I'm not saying something you don't already know):

1. The 'descriptive' <TITLE> in block caps could do with being changed (in fact not many of them are of much 'use'.

2. The top left and right gradient graphics make it look like something is missing as they finish abruptly.

3. Some bits leave me a little perplexed - like this one: http://atelier5.webacademie.ch/mcolella/mypage.htm
I just don't know what it is there for or why (nice background though!!).

4. I don't like the mouseover blurring the text in the top links (I'd usually go for making it more prominent - in that context I might have gone for the text turning gold or something similar to the bottom links to keep things consistent) and the mouseout doesn't seem to work in Op (although it does in IE).

5. The links page could be done without the really big balls. Also the sub pages seem to take forever to load (I tried the code one and gave up after a while).

6. I think you could have done the design without the frames.

Overall I like the 'medieval' feel the blacks, dark reds and that title give the main page and everything seems to work nicely in IE and Op. The site needs some consistency (it has the look of a site where you've tried something interesting and cool, got some nice results and so shoehorned it in somewhere - and if we haven't all done something like that I'd be very suprised!!) but it all seems to work well.

InI: You did very well considering the time/technology constraints but you did have a good source of 'inspiration'!! I must say for a first site you were restrained - you should have added much more of those freely-available animated gifs (like that 'Prisoner' episode of the Simpsons were Homer gets his first web page)!!

Thanks for sharing - perhaps we should a little feature where people can drop in their very first web site from back in the day (thankfully mine sunk into a black hole under the weight of all those animated gifs and will never see the light again - I tell a lie it was my fondness for big Java splash screens!!).

i would post my first site, but:
1) it's not actually online.
2) vp and other 56k-ers would have a heart attack! with all my gifs, and embedded midis, this thing took hours to load!
if my website was a person, it would look like mimi from drew carey - a bit fat, obnoxious thing with WAY too much 'make up'.

good to see some level of restraint in your site, ini - really a very promising first page!

reitsma: I know exactly what you mean - I caught the episode where she gets married the other day and the awful dress she was wearing with flower buds which actually opened is probably a pretty good analogy to some of our early efforts!!
