UBB Help
Well I'm also glad that your last thread didn't draw you away from here. Just a few comments and I will try not to reiterate what Emps said. A few of things to think about. 1. What are people going to come to your site for? I guarentee that it will all come down to "content". Whether it be graphics or what not, it is all content. Don't let your graphic capability get in the way of a website design. Too often than not, I have seen good website that could be great if they just tone it down a few notches. 2. These being said, what is the first thing that should draw a viewer to your site? Right now it is that huge picture of a girl. It is not a bad picture but it shouldn't be the main focus of the site which it is right now. 3. I am suspecting that the layout you are going to use is going to have iFrames, correct? A little caution, this will only work in IE unless you have a script that will load the content into a <div> tag. Like the good Doc says "Specification is for insects" 4. About the graphics, if that is the main focus of your site, let the "Art Works" section take care of that for the most part. That is what thumbnails and pop-ups are good for. So people can see your art and not be distracted by the main body of the page. At the company that I work for, the girl in production is FAMOUS for letting her art get to carried away. With her though, it is a fine line between "creativity" and "gaudiness". Not to say your art is bad, it's not, you just seem to be relying on it like a crutch sort of. Keep working on it. Hopefully it will kind of click together and you can find that nice joining of "graphic art" and "web design". Hope that doesn't piss you off, you have some good graphics skills, you just need to woodshed it a little on the web design side. Later, C:\ ~Binary is best~
