Its still just a plain (in this case black) background with plain (white) text on it. Search the Asylum real quick for 'Colour Wheel', or something like that. It's a wonderful tool that will help you with your color schemes. I have it bookmarked but Im not home right now. You make better use of the space your given in your layout. Compare the two for a second. Notice your navigation table? Well your content page in your previous design was about the same size.
