I would suggest putting some kind of picture behind the main content, where it is currently grey. Using a mellow cyan/blue colour it would contrast well with the orange highlights, and if you didnt use a picture that was too saturated then it wouldn't distract from the content. Possibly something along the lines of the first image in your artwork section might work well. Hope that helps.
