C:\ No problems Director 8.5 is the package, it was originally in its first few encarnations aimed at multimedia products, now its quite handy for the web aswell, and the whole thing was only 144k. since the issue of flash has been raised here i thought i would put some sort of answer to it. here is the way i break down whether to use flash or director for web based projects. FLASH Presentations Complete Interfaces Nav Buttons etc E Commerce store fronts Animations Shockwave Anything that needs a sophisticated programming approach...product demos etc, destination content... here's a snippet of info from macromedia 92% of browsers have flash installed now shockwave player around the 50% mark... Flash is more aimed as i have said for web anims, splash screens etc whilst shockwave is used to bring rich multimedia to the back end of flash sites... www.lexus.com is a classic exaple of this most of flash but get to the build ya own lexus and the power of shockwave really kicks in.... anyway enough of my waffle...
