Hi all

Some of you may remember the site I made a couple of months ago that was all done with sketchs, scanned and put on the web as gifs. An all gif site. Someone told me it would be too hard to update. He was right. So here's the redesign. Clean and simple.

Tell me what you think.

Also, on some of the page, there is an horizontal scrollbar and on some there is not. Can you guys tell me what is not working well ?

Thanks in advance.

I didn't see the first site, so I can't tell you if it's better than the other one, but here are a few comments on this time around.

1) The "splash" page: not really even a splash. I don't see why you need it...

2) Scrolling: very unintuitive. I discovered it by accident when my cursor went over one of the two little dot graphics. Even then I didn't realize at first why the text moved, and I had to look at the images for a moment before I figured out that the one on the left scrolled up and the one on the right scrolled down. Not only are the images themselves unconventional, but their positioning is also unconventional, making it a rather confusing experience.

3) Content area: I don't think your content area makes efficient use of the space available. The page seems to expand horizontally, but it doesn't even take up half of my browsing window vertically. How about bigger left and white margins and a longer (vertically) content area? It's a lot easier to read many short lines than a few really long lines (which is the way it is now). Incidentally, you could probably fit the content that is there now without scrolling.

I agree with what you said about short lines. But this was meant to be this way. I didnt want the pages to be very «tall». But this is just about my personnal taste. But I'll try to improve this.

For the buttons Ill take a look at that. You're right when you say its a little confusing.

Thanks for commenting.

bigyou nod the scrolling part i wouldnt have seen if i hadnt seen suho's post, i run at 1600x1200 so all your text was visible to me a tansparent scroll bar or up and down arrow images would have helped ya visitors load. maybe cutting the text into smaller chunks not so widely spread horizontally will give people the impression that they need to scroll and then give them a clear way of scrolling, i made the same mistake as you with my shockwave interface in this thread, but i used the actuall text as a place to move the text if ya load it up you will see what i mean.

i like the colour scheme but the front page can go, replace it with the second page make it user friendly and ya got a nice clean site
