You've obviously decided to use a splash page, and that's your choice, so I won't comment on that (yeah, I did take a brief look at it--I was curious). The first thing that hit me was the size and positioning of the site. My screen resolution is set at 1024x768, and the site takes up a quarter of my screen. I'm assuming that it will get longer as more content is added, so height is not a problem, but width-wise it still only covers half of my screen. This in itself is not necessarily a bad thing, but you might think about centering everything. It looks a bit weird stuck on the left there like that. I was also a bit confused by the text on the "home" page. It looks like an intro, but it falls under the heading of "Today's News." Are you planning to put the daily news in that spot in the future? That wouldn't be a bad idea, I think. If I may, I would also like to comment on the text itself. I'm assuming that the copy is temporary, but still... let's face it, it's atrocious. At the very least, it doesn't make a very good first impression. At the beginning of the menu you have "Navigation." That strikes me as pretty self-evident and therefore unnecessary, unless it's some sort of design choice on your part. The fact that it doesn't lead anywhere is another strike against it, considering it is the first thing people will see in the menu. I would just start with "home." I'm also a bit confused about the second green bar on the home page (the one that says "News for you"). On all the other pages, it tells you what page you are currently on--why the departure here? Not much else to say at this point. Those are just some general ideas on what you've got up there so far.
