Cetainly an impluse design will be one of "state of mind". Although... comparing your state of mind at the time of conception, and your continual tone throughout the site... Quite frankly, I just don't think they bond. I'm not one to judge [i]your[/i] feelings however. That's for you to do. Well... the site is pretty usable, I suppose. There's not much to navigate to...... it's all reallly layed out on the main page, so I don't think that should be the source of any concern from you. I don't particularly think that your "style" is working.... (if you consider that a valid gripe). I can handle the over powering green. It's not my first choice.... but it can work, yep. What I don't care too much for, is the grunge feel that you've got workin' there.... as it doesn't seem to suit the tone of your voice in the entries. The little people that are scattered here and there, don't seem to carry much meaning, and present more of an eye sore than anything, to me. I've got somewhat of a pre-set notion in my head of what I like photo-logs to look like. And usually, I like them in black and white... with a dab of colour here or there. OR... I like them to have a squeaky clean layout, with very defined areas. So take my opinion of your site, lightly, because it's doesn't fall into my tastes. If you're looking for a design that's "different".... you've succeeded. But I don't think the layout and colours present a "feel" that will keep people coming back. Now... we all know, content is king.... but I don't think you can justify having solid content without a solid, compatible layout to compliment it, either. shrug -Michael Loading...
