Then maybe soften it out as it runs further down the page; again, just a suggestion. I'm sure there are a lot of different ways to improve it but the "logo" area forms a good 33% of your site's visuals and it dominates the overall look and feel of the site. So I'm think nailing that bit will make a big difference overall. Edit: Bottom left might also work well for the logo too. It all depends on how you want it to feel. Bottom left would feel a little bit more like a book and a little more 'epic'; top left would be more conservative and comfy.
