Greetz,

I had an assignment for school to make a website, I don't really know if this is good. But I would appreciate if you'd take a look at it and tell me what u think of it.
I apologize for the site not being in English, but i would just like to hear what you guys think about the layout and the concept.
The logo does not fit with the style of my site, but I don't have much inspiration left as this was my 6th logo already.
Some links don't work either, this is for other students won't steal my links

thx =)

Well, I think that the concept is pretty darn good.

I really like your choice of colors for the background image and such. The logo does not work like you said. I think you need something a bit more descriptive. Maybe spell the whole word out instead of just the letters.

I am browsing on opera, and the menu messes up the background image. You might want to just use plain text for the links as opposed to images, since it might keep the background centered.

The other issue I see is with the code. You are using frames when this design doesn't need frames. I really cries out for a bluerobot two column css design. You might also want to validate you code using the W3 websites CSS and HTML validator, and try using XHTML as opposed to standard HTML.

Not much to add to what warmage said, follow his advice all you'll do good

You might also consider chaning the link color to something that contrasts more to the background. It blends a little to much with the background right now, so it almost hard to read. To make the site html and css compitable you also lack a DOCTYPE declaration.

The page might not work in Opera, but it works in Mozilla 1.2.1 at least...

Well, I noticed(like u said) that my buttons are not in the right position when using Opera. I cant use just plain text coz the assignment includes the making of animated buttons. They are at the right position in IE and NN, so I don't really know how to fix this Opera-related bug.

If I have enough time left I will remove the frames.

Metatags still have to be added

planning to change the link-colors too

I'll stick to HTML for now, coz that was also part of the assignment

HTML and XHTML are pretty interchangable. Did you get a specific on the type of HTML? Because as your code is now it does not conform to any standard, no matter what you need to have valid HTML and you need a doc type that specifies what sort of HTML you are using, be it frameset as you have not, strict or transitional.

You might want to look at this the w3 validator would be the place that I think you might want to try in order to validate your pages, under some kind of standard. I have turned into a bit of a standards hawk as of late, and seeing as you are in an acedemic setting right now this is when you should start looking at the standards. You should bring up your questions about standards to your teacher/professor, they might not even know about them, and if they are in the position to be teaching they should be teaching the correct way to approach design.

ok, well my teacher DID mention it, but I forgot to put it on my site. (I know, I shouldn't have forgotten it).
The only one to blame for not putting a DOCTYPE is me.

There is just one thing I don't really understand: u say "they should be teaching the correct way to approach design."
--> I thought the design was allright :-s

anyways, thx for your help
