Very cool.

Jason's right - the dispatch audio is nice. We've been talking about doing it, but I haven't had the time to look into it much. If you'd be interested in talking about how it's done (offline), I'd greatly appreciate it.

I'd also like to see how your Public Message Forum is handled. We've been somewhat reluctant to do that.

Thanks for the comments. I was worried about the public message forum, especially going through a election, and as I am sure you can see we have had some crazy comments. It's just the part of TN we lie in. East Tennesseans are know for voicing their opinions. As far as a guideline... there isn't on that's not to say that I won't erase any fowl language, but for the most part It stays unless the Sheriff says to remove it.

The online audio, actually isn't that hard to setup, if you have a DSL + dedicated access.

We are a small county in Tennessee, about a 4.1 Million dollar budget per year, non of which is set aside to this type of technology so I work with what I have an make the best of it.

The MacombSheriff.com is a great site and you have something most Departments don't have.... Class, and believe me I have seen allot of Law Enforcement websites.
