After all, people who can see your site with no problem don't need to see the message, do they? With that out of the way, you have more room for content on the front page, like maybe some info about yourself, the story of your site, etc. (Note: some [url=http://www.clagnut.com/blog/142/]important[/url] [url=http://www.zeldman.com/daily/0103a.shtml#weekend2]people[/url] in the web standards community have been advocating the removal of these sorts of messages, for reasons that will become apparent if you follow these two links. Definitely worth a read.) 2) I believe I mentioned this before, but the fade effect bugs me. You've come back with it again, so I can only assume that you like it. In the end, it's a personal, stylistic choice, I suppose, but in my mind anything that makes the user wait longer to see what's next is not a good thing. If you like it, though, don't just remove it because I said so--just consider it and come to your own conclusions. Loading...
