It may have something to do with IE's "Auto-Select" option in the Encoding menu, which people might mistake for "Auto-Detect" (as in automatically detect the language). At least, that's what I thought when I first saw the option way back when. Silly me. And it was my pleasure to provide the information. Anything I can do to spread the word. :) Loading...
