I wouldn't put the log in form right on the first page. I'm assuming that you have people log in so they can get their names up on the leaderboards for quizzes, maybe post in forums, etc., right? But do you need to log in to actually see the site? |

I definately agree with your comments, Its just finding the time to re-structure it. At first I didn't think it would be very popular...but its gathered a few followers in the short timeits been up |

To be honest with you, I haven't had the chance to give it more than a cursory look. I'll see if I can get back to it tomorrow. |

arniie: Sorry about the delay... I got busy this past weekend and forgot all about my promise there. I did go and play around a bit on the site, and it was actually kind of fun. I enjoyed the memory game (although it looks like someone has found a cheat--the best time up there is 0:00!) and the Etch-a-Sketch (talk about a blast from the past). It also looks like you have a number of things open to participation (although I have to say I'm still not sure what ERoom101 is all about). |

Heh, OK. Just a quick note, then. I think this layout is a vast improvement. I like how the user is presented with the content immediately. It is definitely a step up from the previous version. If you want to take it to the next level (and this would require a bit more coding), you could have log-in/register links on each of the pages that require a person to log in before they participate. You might even consider letting them go through the process of voting, etc. and then checking to see whether or not the user is logged in. If they are not logged in, you could then take them to a page that gives them the option to log in or create a new account. When that is finished, you could then complete the voting or whatever they had started in the first place. It would definitely be more work, but it would probably be the best way to draw people into the site. |
