I'm assuming that you have people log in so they can get their names up on the leaderboards for quizzes, maybe post in forums, etc., right? But do you need to log in to actually see the site? Take a cue from any popular forum: you should be able to roam around the site and see what's up before deciding whether or not you want to register. You can always prompt people to register before they take a quiz or go into a forum, whatever. It may be a bit more difficult to implement, but if I came across your site as a regular surfer, I'd be out of there quicker than you can say "Why Join ArnIIe?" (and quicker than you can click on the link, too). Loading...
