i think it's looking good. easy to navigate. I would chosen different colors, but they combine very well, i think you aimed for a 'cool/cold' effect like ice and you did agood job with that.
The upper register button looks a bit lost. I looks like there are supposed to be more buttons there. Also you can see a little greyish border around this button (Full-colour display) i think the transparancy is not realy right.
And i think the big text link in the upper right corner is a bit ugly.

But the overall impression is good.

<edit> all the links on the frontpage go to the same page this is confusing me.... and i don't like to be forced to register before i can see the tutorials. Do you want me to pay too? or what? I have to distract some points for that.....<edit-off>

Thanks Rinswind for the review, just a question though, which links are you talking about? if it's for the tutorials they are going to the same page but the content changes depending on, if the user is registered or not.
On the subject of some of the tutorials being for subscribed members, I'm sure you will agree that those do take a lot of time to create. Because they are not just your normal run of the mill but specifically commercially related. The subscription price is only $5 and as we all know that's less than the price of a magazine. It's not the earth. I'm hoping that it will cover the costs of housing the site.
I wanted to do it Donation based, but unfortunately, people like to take and not give.

Finally, I will change the button at the top, to tell you the truth i have forgotten about it, as i'm constantly registered. Last , as far as the text on the text link on the Right, that disappears when registered.

ok i understand i did overlook the "non members" "all members" and "subscribers" links... they might draw a bit more attention hehe. I clicked to links beneath each other and got the same page. I rather do like go directly to the new tutorial. insteda of scroling down a list. Or another link at the top off the list pages. Finally you said the prize for subscribers is 5$ and that is not much. But i suggest you tell this before they register that would be decent.
You could do so at the policies page or at the register form. I am not realy shure if people do want to pay for tutorials, the seem notocare about how many it did cost you. Maybe it works maybe not, good luck

What are you talking about?

Theres 3 categories of tutorials

1 For All visitors regardless if they are members or not

2 For all members of the site (this category has the largest amount of tutorials)

3 For Subscribed members. This category if for members that choose to subscribe.

There's plenty of tutorials for members, they don't need to register.

This is crystal clear on the site. I'm not trying to scam anyone for $5. Ok.

I'm sorry if the previous post sounded harsh, but it's your accusation of me not being decent that got me.
That was not fair from your part.

<edit>

If you look carefully, the tutorials for members are for members, No one is forcing people to subscribe. It's a choice, if members wish to subscribe then they gain access to the subscribed members tutorials aswell.

ugh.. I never meant to say you are *not* decent, if it feels that way i am very sorry. You should not take it personal
But the only place where the price is stated is on the paypall page.
I think it would be nice if you stated it also on the Subscriptors page, just thinking like a consumer right know, when i doubting to buy something i like to know what do i get and what is it going to cost. Well i do get good tutorials i presume, but until i decide to buy i don't know the price right? And since there are tons off good PS tutorials on the web i go looking somewhere else....

I always learned that your consumers (the people who visit the site, not the ones ordering it) decide in a split second if they are going to visit your site or leave. It is your task to convince them to take a closer look at the site, also if you are selling something you should convince the consumers. If you are thinking "they will come/pay because i got good stuff" you are making a mistake i think. Not giving the price in an early stage does not convince me to buy..

Finally i got a bit agitated in my first post due to all the paid sites who are not accesible for me or other people without any creditcards. In europe not everyone has a creditcard most people i know don't. Going to the east or the south it is getting even worse. All those people are denied to a lot of info. I really don't mind paying if i could do it in a different manner.

And again don't take it personal

Yes, I have to say that if I had not just read all of that ^ I would be very confused about what was going on within that site.

Things are very cluttered and unclear in general, and I wouldn't ahve picked up on needing to be a paying subscriber...

Which in and of itself seems silly. yes, tutorials take time to make. But with so many free quality tutorials available on the web, all I can say is - Good Luck!

=)
