I've just added a new forum to my site. |

Nice idea. The functionality seem a little limited and I imangine that it could get rather messy rather quickly. Having a mass of windows without any kind of docking system to switch between them isn't such a great idea. If your going to simulate elements of an OS try not to leave out core bits of the useability. I also think it could look better -- what's with the stripy window headers? |

I've never liked forums where you can't see a thread and all the replies to it at once. I much prefer the asylum style where you can just scroll through the thread as far as you wanna go. |

I've got to agree with Drac, mostly, but I want to stress that resizing windows can "break" the forum's functionality. I didn't really like the fact that I had to scroll through a bunch of separate windows, so I tried to resize the main threads window. Unfortunately, my mouse wouldn't "let go" of the window even after I released the button, so the window just kept resizing according to where I moved the mouse. Then I accidentally made the window too large and it scrolled down--so now I can't see the top of the window (or any of spawned sub-windows), and thus I cannot close them. Needless to say, things are getting cluttered and messy. |
