hmmm.... ugly.

the bright white is bad, and i cannot understand why you didnt' go for the obvious light grey text on black.

"inculded" -> "included" on second paragraph of first page.

also, i believe it should be "DOS Commands", not "Dos Command".

Other than that, it seems like a decent enough site, the content is pretty good, and navigation is relatively logical.

quick try -> should that be "quick quiz", or "quick test"?

Hi, reitsma. Thanks for your opinions.
Let me explain something.
What I wanted to achieve was easy to read for long time.
Is that white text hard on your eyes? My color concept was quite simple.
I wanted to make DOS site. That is why I chose black background and white color text.
I used grey box to make visually better. That is all I planed.

Now would you tell me how white color is bad??? Is there any paticular technical reason or your personal preference???

Thank you in advance. I really apprecite your words.

Looking forward to hearing from you soon.

Cya.

I see what you mean. That site got white background......and a lot of unformatted text.
Hmm......

I don't know why this happened. I set background black......and font-family: arial........etc.....
I will try to figure out tomorrow........

I found it why.

The reason:
1. <-- css --> is wrong. <!-- css --> is correct.
2. IE5.5 and IE6 doesn't like percentage value of padding. I don't know why but anyway I set it pixel value.
Now all right.

I will upload my file tomorrow. Finally can finish it. I guss thugh.
good night.

Great work, it has improved a lot since your earlier tries! It works without problems on both Mozilla1.3 and Opera 6.0 on Linux

The Doctype you've specified doesn't exsist. I think you need to add an 'x' in front of the first 'html' in the doctype, but I'm not sure. You should also specify what character enocding your page is using. This will ensure that the characters are displayed as they are supposed to be to everyone. Add this tag to your head section and it should be fixed

code:
<meta http-equiv="content-type" content="text/html; charset=iso-8859-1" />

There are also a couple of other things that makes the page not validate properly. You can check out what they are using the W3C validator.

Except from that I can't think of much to say. The layout is simple and nice, the text is easy to read and nicely laid out.

I was actually going to post this yesterday, but I was having problems with my connection. My cable modem went dead just as I pressed the submit button. Fortunately, I have gotten in the habit of CTRL-A+CTRL-C'ing everything before posting, so here it is:

I believe you have failed in this. One of the problems is that the contrast between the white background and the grey boxes is so great that the white looks brighter, and thus is a bit painful to look at. Also, this contrast makes the black text even harder to see, because the grey looks darker next to the white. Black text on a solid grey background of the same color (ie, white no white in between the boxes) might not be so bad, but what you have no is a recipe for pain. To be brutally honest with you, I can only look at the site as long as I do because I am reviewing it--if I were merely browsing I would most likely leave the site after a quick glance.

I like reitsma's idea of light grey text on black, but that doesn't mean you necessarily have to go that route. I think it would be appropriate, but if you really like black on grey, then go for it. I would urge you to make the page one solid color, though. There is no law that says your divs have to be a different color. I would also urge you to make your links a single color--there is no reason to make some of them blue and some of them white.

Also, I'm getting some crazy responses when hovering over your links. In the left hand menu, for example, the text is originally centered. When I hover over a link, though, it snaps to the left margin and the div shifts position. The text in the main div also shifts left when I hover over a link. I don't have time to look through the source now, but that is something you might want to check out (I'm using IE6/Win, btw).

If you don't mind, please see it and let me know how you think of.
Many thanks.

Ah, OK... I guess you posted that after I first wrote the review.

The color scheme is much better... much easier on the eyes. I still disagree with having different link colors in the menus and in the text (not to mention the different hover effects). I would make them all blue if I were you, for consistency.

Also, you might want to run your text through a spell checker (for example, "batch" is misspelled in the second menu on the left).

Hi, Suho. Thanks for your reply.
Well, I will think about the point you mentioned.
Especially about color.

I have a wee question.
Do you always use same color for all links like menu bar as well as link in the content?
I thougt in my case, it is better to use white for menu bar and blue( whatever color) for link in content. Because they are roling defferent parts of the page.

Hmm...I will ask around.
Many thanks.
Cya.
