Although, unlike suho and half of the demented gurus around here, I've never really like blue and grey togther. But that's just me. For the most part I think the site works quite well, although some of the design elements are a little questionable. I think your overusing broders. The home page is good but every other page seems to have an extra border which is kinda killing it IMHO. The bevels on the background images aren't doing you any favours either. You've got some great landscape photos in there, why not use something with a little more colour for that backgorund image. As for the image of you?... It's a little cheesy but like Suho said, adds a nice personal touch. However, a few minor levels adjustments and some desaturation of the red around your shoulders would help alot.
