Hi, I was wondering if some of you could provide critiques, and/or screenshots of this page in seeveral different browsers.
The content is not done, only the layout. So far, I've tested IE 5,IE 5.5, and IE 6. It works fine in those.
Core features at this point:
-Full Screen
-Blue buttons
-Resizing on load

Thanks!

A link to the page would help a lot

Just a little tip considering your core features. Never change the size of the users browser window. Your design should float to accomodate the user's browser, not the other way around.

Asking for browser testing is all fine and dandy, but keep in mind that the people here go out of there way to provide feedback for you as it is.

If you want to make sure your website looks good in other browsers, download the browser and test it yourself. It's easier all round that way and expecting people to take screen shots of your site and upload them to their webserver for you is a bit much really. The only reason you should be asking for browser testing in the first place is for browsers you can't run on your computer like Mac IE 5, Safari, Konq etc etc...

On top of Drac's advice, I'll also add that I have much better luck when I test *first* in Mozilla and then adapt to make it work for IE.

Yup, I have to agree. IE's one mean, quirky browser.

And as for the page, I have news for you: In Firebird, your content doesn't show up at all. forget about those blue buttons working. There's nothing to minimize. It's just blank.

(Hmm, no "resizing on load" in IE6 either. Yay for me )

Same in mozilla - I get an empty white box with badly aligned borders and little blue buttons that do nothing.

=(

It definately pays to download more browsers...it's pretty much impossible to get working pages otherwise.

Thanks for posting the link, sorry I forgot.
I don't resize the page. I mean, if they click a link on the sidebar, then the main div becomes larger to accomodate the page so there's no need for a scrollbar in the middle.
Yesh, these browsers. My site is w3c compliant, it's the browsers that suck for not rendering it. Anyhoo, I'll just redirect based on PHP get_browser().

Your page is not w3c compliant considering that you don't have a Doctype nor a a defined encoding.

Why did you ask for screenshots from the other browsers when you don't care about it? Your page should be viewable (not neccesarily working perfectly) in IE5+, Opera 6+ and Mozilla1.4+. Those browsers should cover most of the users' need. IE is also the browser with the most lacking standard support, so if the page is valid the chances are it will work in the other browsers before it works in IE
