I tried that and for some reason my right column is a tad to big as it pushes my left column down below it. I tried resizing the .rightcolumn but it didn't take for some reason... I figured out that I needed to create a box around the entire site so that the align right pushes it only as far as the invisible box allows. That much I got, as for the footer I ended up changing the width of each to 350 as they were pushing each other down. You can refresh the link and see the changes I did....
