Well, this isn't exactly a review, but rather a question about technology used for a certain purpose. And a bit of rambling.


Have anyone of you heard about companies using Real Medias Adstream solution just to handle images and promotions within ones own website(s)?


To me the obvious downside would be that most Adblockers (incl NIS) rightfully classifies a RM Adstream-server as a ad-server and blocks all content, which leaves the company pages looking quite.. eh.. funny...

Anyone know if the adblockers do this by DNS-name or some serverside property?
Any other downsides that comes to mind?

Trying to gather as much info as I can on the subject at the moment. Not really my job, but I kind of like being a pain in the a$$ on some people in my org at the moment
