Could you kind folks please tell me why I can't get the white to show up as a background color in Netscape. It works fine in IE. I've tried putting the white bgcolor in a few of the different <table> and <td> tags, but none of them seem to work for me.

In Shitscape, nested tables inherit background from their parent, so if you want to make that cell white, you also have to set the background to a transparent gif (in your case "spacer.gif"):

<td width="543" height="100%" bgcolor="#ffffff" background="images/home/index_red/spacer.gif"><img src="images/home/index_red/spacer.gif" width="1" height="490" alt="" border="0"></td>

BTW This *fix* for Shitscape will cause problems in Opera, though...

Mr Max, that is the most concise statement of that bug that I've ever heard. I can't seem to talk about it without at least bursting a blood vessel or two.

Heh, there's no need to upset yourself about some idiotic browser as Shitscape is...

mr. max is right.
no need to upset about dumb ass browsers, it's not that you can not do it, it's just the browser can't handler it as it supposed to.
only follow the standard is dumb.

by the way, IE6 is in beta.
