hi, i've embedded an mpeg video into a popup-window which plays fine in IE, but in NN the popup window comes up empty. i got this code from another page since i don't know code myself- it looks simple enough. is NN having trouble reading the table or something? how to make it NN compatible?

I don't think NN supports <embed>. I don't know how you can do it, although there is *probably* a way. Not guaranteed though.

*thats* what i thought. if you look at the coding for flash, youll notice that there is both an embed and an object tag. one was for netscape, the other for ie (not sure which for which).

i checked web design in a nutshell (o'reilly) for the embed tag and it says that nn: 2, 3, 4, msie: 3, 4, 5, webtv, and opera3 support the tag. try taking out the "controller" attribute. its not a listed attribute for that tag, depreciated or otherwise. (also note that "loop" and "autostart" attributes also were not listed).

wish i could help more, but i dont use the embed tag outside of what flash generates for me.

yes, i have tried using both the object and embed tags similar to how flash is embedded, but it still doesn't work.

does anyone have experience embedding video in netscape???
