Heya. I'm a bit new at this designing-for-cross-browser-compatibility thing, and as I was going through a list of the browsers one could reasonably expect to encounter people using, it came to my attention that any or all of the following features may be unsupported or improperly supported by the browsers of a significant number of users: CCS, nested tables, tables period, color properties for links, tables, and form fields, specified page margins, javascript, images inline with text, images period, font sizes, font colors, most paragraph formatting attributes, horizontal rules, spaces in filenames, and some types of hypertext anchors. Oh yes, and some browsers can't properly pass the query string to a CGI script, either. Given that, it gets me to wondering: how does one go about designing a website that's compatible with the majority of browers without ending up with plain black-on-white unformatted paragraphs with no images? - The Penguin King.
