Topic: NS, Layers + Animated Gifs ! (Page 1 of 1)

In NS, I have a Gif in a Layer, and I want it so that when something happens, it changes this gif to a different animated Gif, it works fine in IE, but in NS it just shows the first frame of the GIf ?? Also another animated Gif stops animating when this happens, it doesnt really make sense.

The Code I use is something like:

document.layerID.document.GifName.src = "animated.gif";

Can anyone help me ?

Is this a flaw with v4.5 of Netscape ( the version I use ) Has anyone seen a site that does this successfully ? or should I just disable this 'feature' in NS ??

im no dhtml expert, but i think you should go to the image like this:
document.*Gifname*.src="ani.gif"

if that doesnt work, just get the latest NS (4.7), maybe this is really a flaw in 4.5
