UBB Help
Hey, I'm having a trauma-inducing problem with my upcoming site redesign. It seems that Netscape 6 and IE both have different interpretations of web-safe colours. Netscape seems to render my background colour in a slightly different tint than the image, so you can see where the edge of the image lies on top of the background. It's not seamless, even though the colours are supposedly the same. IE handles this properly. But I'm not sure whether it's a problem with my HTML or with my GIFs. The colour in Photoshop says "51, 102, 153" and in hex that's "#336699". But in Netscape there's a slight discrepancy. Should I be using some other form of image encoding, or is it a known bug in Netscape 6? Your help would be appreciated here. Surely someone else has had this problem?
