Don't you wish Netscape would just die? Gah! Go away.

And AOL, too. Life would be good.

Shitscape and AHOLE will probally never die, but there's no use getting bent out of shape over it, is there?

Maybe you wouldn't mind telling us your problems with the browser?

Yeah it sucks...much too adherent to the spec...messes up display of poorly written pages. Not to mention that it crashes a lot. But it's pretty and takes a long time to load! M$ is winning more friends since IE handles mistakes well, and people are too lazy to learn the right way. Damn non-conformists.

well, it sucks definitely.

but remember 1995. start of the internet. netscape was definitely the way to go! of course, opera and mosaic where there before, but everyone used netscape.
also IE existed, but none knew about it.
and then a little later you could already do DHTML with netscape 4 using the layers tag. wow, i was amazed, when i saw my first layer moving over the screen!

now....
it sucks!

Ill have to agree with Max, Im IE all the way. Unless I am designing a site for a client I dont even think about how it would look in Shitscape. Who cares? Does anyone know the percentages of people who use each one?

InSiDeR, I don't know where you got that information, but I can say that it is completely wrong. Less than 10% of people are using Shitscape...

Just see for yourself: http://www.thecounter.com/stats/2001/December/browser.php

Excuse me, Allewyn, did I just hear you say that Netscape is "adherant to the spec" (assuming "spec" is short for "specifications"?) Are we talking netscape 4.x here? Netscape 6.x is certainly pretty compliant, since it's based of the decently-made Mozilla engine. But Netscape Navigator 4.x is *anything* but compliant to the web standards set by the w3c. It's *sort* of compliant to whatever was the standard when it was made, at least three years ago, I'm not sure exactly how long. In any case, a standards-compliant page now will hardly work in netscape nav 4.x at all, unless the author of the page severely limits himself to what was the standard many years ago.

Don't go walking around telling people Netscape 4.x is adherant to the specs. =) (emphasis on "=)" which indicates no hard feelings or anything, heh =) )

Long live Netscape! Yeah...that's it.....*sigh*

I'm probably one of the very few left who do use NS. All alone....oh so very alone...

I agree when allewyn said, ITS PRETTY, IT CRASHES A LOT, AND IT TAKES FOREVER TO LOAD! When im at my friends house and im helping him with starcraft and stuff, he always uses netscape its so agrivating to me because he won't let me use IE.
