Please put CSS questions in the XML-CSS-all-that-other-stuff forum. This has been moved there.

Here's a good starting reference for CSS. If you already know HTML very well then this would be your best bet IMHO.
http://www.w3schools.com/css/default.asp

Edit: oh yeah. DHTML as well hay. Well first you should learn how CSS works. Then learn Javascript. Then you need to learn the browser HTML DOM's and how to alter CSS properties with Javascript. That's basicaly what DHTML is.

Sound like fun? ya, I think so too.

Although if your looking for info and references on DHTML the best place to ask would be the DHTML/Javascript forum.

marf: Well you'll need to ask the question again in the DHTML forum for specific stuff there (just trying to keep things neat and tidy!!) but for basic CSS things see:

the specs: www.w3.org/TR/CSS2

Although this is still awaiting approval it is on the final polishing up and is very helpful: www.gurusnetwork.com/tutorials/approval/cssintro/cssintro1.html

This site is highly regarded: www.w3schools.com/css

and twitch^ provided us with a great list here: www.gurusnetwork.com/cgi-bin/ubb/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic&f=16&t=000015

and I was impressed by all the links Steve has at his site (including a great set of CSS links): http://people.ne.mediaone.net/s-nelson/steve/html/links.html

That lot should keep you busy for a long time!!
