I think most companies and honest people wouldn't want such phenomenons to spread. Plus a programmer, for bad things of this kind, can go to jail. For years, there have been several examples... There are people to fight this, they do their best to make a compromise between interaction and privacy, really. There are (rare) bastards to make a profit or just play around, kids.. Add to this some programmers who are interested in the field, but won't try to taste dangerous exploits (...guess who?). Because security is fascinating..
