Let me give you a simple example of a scenario where I don't use them: I have two columns with text and a nice thin line between them. The line has to stretch with the text and be as long or short as the longest text in either of the columns. (Eg. implementation: 3 cells with 2 for text and one for the line - done by either by inserting a 1x1 px transparent gif in a cell with a background/bgcolor value or setting the height of a gif to 100% and placing it in the cell.) How would you do this without using tables and small gifs? I'm open to ideas. Loading...
