First thing I'd try would be padding:0px; inside the #right CSS block.

Alright, after using my javascript favelet to try that out, it didn't work.

...

Well, I've put red borders around everything on the page, and I can't figure out why it's not working right. But here's what I'd try, in this order:

1. remove the <?xml...?> declaration from the top. While legal, it's not required, and it causes IE 6 to (mistakenly) ignore the doctype, so it doesn't switch into standards mode.
2. remove all whitespace inbetween tags, starting with the more problematic places (like between the "right" image and the ending </div> tag).

Beyond that, I'm not sure what to tell you. The space *above* the "right" image is strange, and seems to be caused somehow by the "head" image (notice that, in IE 6, if you select the "head" image, 2 pixels of blackness below it is simultaneously selected. That leads me to believe that it's the culprit).

hey thanks slime!
i took out the xml declaration and it popped everything in line. now the only problem is that white space between the two images in ie.
i don't know what else to do for that. i've even went back and resliced it 3 times, thinking that's what was doing it...but it didn't help.
i'll work on it more tomorrow!
thanks again!!!!

good gawd!!! does it ever end?!?!
ok....onto my problems.....
is there a way that i can position those links on the left so they're in the same spot in opera, ie and ns?? if not, is there a better way to do that nav other than the way that i'm doing it now? maybe slicing that nav image up then putting the text in that or something?? (the color of the links is just temporary...just needed it for visualization) i'm open to any suggestions at this point!!! i still haven't figured out how to get that white space out of the right image either.

also, where the head is for the 'about' and 'update'....it's fine in opera and ie....but i can't get it to space correctly in ns.

thanks in advance!
