They both resize fonts relative to the parent element. So if and object was set to 2em and an object within was also set to 2em, the final result would be 4ems. This is the same as 200% and 200% being 400%. As to why the W3C would specify two unit of measures that work exactly the same way, I have no idea ;-) The only discrepancy between them, I have explained in the post above this one. Loading...
