I have done similar things with Steve and I think there are a couple of issues to address: 1. Check to see if you can't keep the XML structure as flat as possible - this makes your life far easier at both ends and should make things go faster. 2. If you need to build complex nested trees then you need to look into recursive functions. If this is the kind of thing you need to do then contact me and I can pass on some of the code I've done.
