This is too weird for words.
I have a form on my site where the user sends a postcard:
http://www.dustbunny.com/afk/postcards/

In Mozilla, Netscape and Opera, the text inputs look fine.
In IE6, the background color is yellow on most, but not all of them.
I've tried fixing this with everything I can, but no luck.
I've made a test page on my local server and the colors are fine as long as I have the inputs outisde of a form tag, which kind of defeats the purpose.
To make it even more aggravating, the backgournd color I specify in the style sheet displays initially, but then switches to yellow.
I've done a lot of searches, but nobody seems to have an answer for this.
Any help would be grealty appreciated.
Thanks!

Just a thought:
Are the yellow fields "address, e-mail, name" and similar
Got google toolbar?
Did you activate auto-fill-in?
There ya go...

Google tollbar does this, exactly!
Probably similar with other search-toolbars.

Looks fine for me in both Firebird and IE 6.0

I have the google toolbar on my IE as well, though I don't know off hand what I did with all the options (I can never leave options alone...).

The Google toolbar was the culprit!
Who woulda thunk it?
Thanks a lot!

so the google toolbar changes the color for these types of fields? that's strange. hmmm.....well that's good to know.

might need to put this in the :FAQ: except i am not sure where it would best fit in. Also, i'd like to know why it does this and such.

I'll do a google and see what i can find but, DmS, if you wouldn't mind elaborating a little that would be great too

Oh...I see. Damn, i must be tired. I get it what's going on now. ~bangs head on desk~

Well I'm glade i'm not alone in this. I get something new and the first thing I go to are the options. "What can I change now....."

The Google toolbar will change the fields to yellow if the autofill option is capable of filling them out. Kinda nice, but you can turn the yellow off in the toolbar options.

Um, it's a myth. There has never been consistency across platforms, and there most likely never will be. Yes, please, I'll take two dollops of cream with my cynicism.
