Topic: Positioning quirk (Page 1 of 1)

I've just been playing around with a few basic layouts lately and I've run across an interesting quirk.

When I look at that layout in Firebird the "krets.journal" at the top rests right on top of the dark red divider with the tip of the "j" dipping down into the red area. That's what I want.

In IE 6.0 however, the "krets.journal" is about 5 pixels above the red line. I've only tested in so far in those two browsers so I can really speak as to how it would look in others.

I've tried several things so far like setting the line-height to zero and adjust padding, margins, etc but I haven't had any luck.

Any help with this little quandry would be appreciated.

See where I had to add the position: relative and then set the z-index? Then down at the bottom the #title, I set the margin-bottom to -20px.
It worked for me. Give it a try.

It worked even without the z-index. I found that out since you spelled z-index as z-idex and I didn't notice it right away either.

well good that it worked. i tried it without the z-index and it wouldn't overlap the topper div.
