Topic: good audio prog to create loops

What is the best prob to create seamless loops. I want to create a loop from a track on a CD. Is there a program whoich does the work for you, or do i have to goldwave the thing until it matches?

i dont know a program which creates the loop 'automatically' for you. i think you'll always have to set start and end position in the track and then test it...
goldwave is a very good choice for audio-editing.

there are also lots of other audio-editors like for example Steinberg with very powerful features.

note: dont use winamp for playing loops, it wont sound smooth.

Acid by Sonic Foundry is the standard tool used for creating loops for Flash and other media, I haven't really used it much so I don't know what kind of tools it has for creating loops from cd's or other media. They also make an awesome sound editing application called Sound Forge.

Just a thought, but be careful with what you're creating loops from as cd's are generally copyrighted material...

Using Golwave is good and easy if you have music like nine inch nails but when it comes to house, techno, trance, then finding the right sequence can drive you really mad...

I'm gonna try Sonic Foundry, it looks cool. I know CDs are generally copyrighted but I'm gonna use the loop on a friends-with-username-and-password-site only, so there shouldn't be a problem...
