Also, if they have director they'll have the books that come with it. If you have *any* programming experience you'll be able to hack it.

Director makes files, so it imposes its own format. I usually publish in two main formats: shockwave (.dcr) for the web, and in a projector (.exe) for cdroms.

We did a multimedia piece recently that used a QT movie (I think), don't know if we did it with the stock software or needed a plug-in tho. I know Director can handle several types of video formats, just not sure which ones it natively supports.
