Just wondering how I can correct the error of whenever I close Premiere 6 down....a window pops-up saying there is an error in KERNEL32.DLL. Premiere will now close. It's a pain in the arse. I might give re-installing it a shot but what if it still happens?

did you already download the update to the latest version from adobe.com?
what OS are you using?

Well......I downloaded the update thsi morning and tried updating it and it won't. Tells me it can't update the preminfo.dll. It gives the directory of where it is and just says that preminfo could not be updated..............ARGHHHHHHHHHHH. IT's driving me insane.

try to rename the file.
example: preminfo.dll.backup
maybe it will work then because it could be that the file is write-protected or something is corrupted.

Yeah.......tried that. Renamed the file to what you said. It said that it can't find 'preminfo.dll' when I did that and the setup will quit. Tried naming over stuff as well, like having backupin the middle: after preminfo before .dll. Tried copying that but still says it can't update it.............??????????????

hmmm. this is strange. dont know a solution besides contacting the adobe support.
but as you say that kernel32.dll is causing the error, its not a premiere-problem. more a OS-related one.

Na...it's not a Kernel problem......preminfo.dll. What's OS?

i was referring to your original problem: "...there is an error in KERNEL32.DLL."

OS = operating system. win98, win2000, macOS(im sure you dont have that one ), ...

well, at least you could try reinstalling if nothing else helps.

Na that was a mistake...there was no Kernel problem....only preminfo.dll. I have Win Me and 2000

and it doesnt work on both systems? now that's the point where i would contact the adobe support.
this is a very interesting problem. maybe its the hardware... hmmm.
are you sure preminfo.dll is not write protected?
if you want i could send you "my" preminfo.dll file.
