As far as detection there's tons of ways to do it, simplest is prob just to have a page that has a little animation and asks if they can see, if so then continue in. [url=http://www.moock.org/]moock.org[/url] has some detection ideas as does macromedia's site. I've yet to find one that i really feel works consistenly well.
