I want to make the autorun on a CD a neat-o dorito flash (or whatever is necessary) presentation to install the files...

does flash do command-line?
And, if not, who does?

Petskull: I don't know much about flash so I won't even try but I think flash does not have the power to make a CD autorun when inserted into a CD drive. All I know is that there has to be an autorun.inf file with command lines in the .inf file. Don't know if this helps (It's a PDF, but can get you on the right track abut .inf files, I have only just found it so forgive me if it has all the wrong info ),

I?m looking for the same thing now as I have a project that would look better with an icon as the drive and it autoruns when inserted in a CD drive, so I?m looking up info now so if I find something really useful I will post it for yea .

Just found a .inf file maker if you can open a text editor and it's here.

theoretically you could compile the flash out to a *.exe and then call this one in the autorun.inf

o, let me set something straight....

I'm not having a problem creating the autorun... I know how to do that;

I'm trying to make the flash (or whatever) presentation be able to, say, unzip files... or run executables... That sort of thing....

Petskull: Oh sorry my miss understanding . I thought because you said about "I want to make the autorun on a CD" so I thought as I was looking for the same info I would post info about, but I see what you mean now, and as I know very little about flash I can't help here.

You're going to want to use the fsCommand I think. It's sorta controversial, 'cause of course in the wrong hands a Flash file could, well, do bad things.

But still, it's the tool to get Flash to communicate with a computer.

I've never played with it, 'cause Macs can't use .exe files anyway, but that should get you going in the right direction.
