Also if you don't want to fork out $30-$50 for a Friends of ED book there are good resources and tuts here: [url=http://www.flashkit.com/]www.flashkit.com[/url] I wouldn't worry about actionscript until you get the hang of the program, wnich probably won't take that long. For the most part, its a pain in the neck version of illustrator (ok, I hate Freehand) with a timeline. If you don't like flash's drawing tools or you simply prefer Adobe's products, you can use Illustrator 9 to design your graphics and then export them as .swfs for import into flash.
