A virtual clip works like this: 1) create some sequence of video. It can be as complicated as you like, as many audio or video tracks as you want, use any number of transistions, fades, stills, etc. 2) choose the 'Block Select Tool' (the one that looks like 2 intersecting rectangular 'selections' -- 2nd tool in the 2nd tool set) 3) use the Block Select Tool to select your entire sequence of video (and audio!) created in step 1. 4) click inside the selection and drag to another, open, part of the timeline. 5) That entire sequence now appears as 1 'virtual clip'...1 video track and 1 audio track...continue building more and more complicated fades and transitions. Any edits you make to the original sequence will be reflected in the virtual clip. That's the quick and dirty version. Hope that helps. mobrul
