Please do not reply to this thread unless you want to "bump" it. - Turn based or time based: matches can be turn based, no limit in time between each volley, or time based: 30 minutes per reply maximum. Time based matches can add a little difficulty and be an interesting challenge. 4 changes "have" to be made per volley, at least. Please leave your sigs to the restroom during the matches, and if possible, link your ".swf" externally, perhaps leaving a screen capture/thumbnail here in the court for spectators. Allowed: - Swf file(s) - Sound (Mp3) - Html to support Swf files - XML or text as contents of the Swf files (external linking, ok, remote linking, nope). - ActionScript, png images, Illustrator stuff, etc.. Whatever "belongs" to the final swf, whatever can be put in. - External linking to swf Not allowed: - javascript - php / asp / jsp or [you choose] - remote server access: the other player should be able to continue from the .fla (s)he will receive. - remote server access includes some possible uses of XML, so... ..to make a "summary": EVERYTHING THAT CANNOT BE SENT AND REUSED "AS IS" by the other player should be avoided. But that surely doesn't exclude AI files, Pngs, and whatever you would like to stuff in your .fla, or right besides your .fla. Please make sure you include all necessary files for your opponent. "SIZE PER SHOT" limit: the matches should be viewable through the web browser. So we settled an arbitrary "limit" to each shot, and to the final file size. Each shot should not exceed 128ks: this means that the extra "Swf" size should not exceed 128ks, auxiliary files as AI, Png or wav and mp3 can be zipped with the Flash ".fla" file without a limit, but what's "viewable" should not exceed 128ks per volley. The final file size should not exceed 2.5M too, please consider there still are 56ks users (and that even on cable, two megs of Flash is a huge download). Have a nice match! :) [b]And let me know if I forgot something..[/b] Oh, yeah! feel free to send a zip containing your .fla file and all files you used to create your Flash animation, either through e-mail to your opponent, or here in the "court", directly. Don't forget there is a public who would appreciate seeing you work, so feel free to leave thumbnails here in the Asylum, screenshots.
